Hundreds of people, including officials, relatives, friends and members ofthe public, were present atTuesday afternoon's service. Taiwan leader MaYing-jeou also attended the ceremony, payingtribute to the dead and offering hiscondolences to the families.

This morning, the airline held a separate religious and memorial servicefor those who died. Thecrash happened last Wednesday, when the flight fromTaipei to Kinmen lost power shortly aftertaking off and careened into theKeelung River.
